Electro Fringe Festival 2015, Sydney

PAUL was an interactive installation created by NODE displayed at the 2015 Electrofringe Festival, Sydney. The installation took form as a large robotic eye capable of the detection and tracking of multiple human faces. Viewers could interact with the eye, and observe how it behaved in various social situations.

I was responsible for the Concept Design, Electronics System Design, Mechanical System Design, and Software Programming. I designed servo actuated two axis gimbal system for the eye, as well as the embedded programming for control. I was also responsible for the design of the fluid weave system which was capable of displaying various droplet patterns in order for the installation to express a state of mind.
